I Bet On Some Level You Can Relate

These past few months, my world has turned upside down.

I’ve been avoiding writing this blog for a while. Too much to say, but nothing particularly interesting or enlightening.  Bottom line: I’ve been dealing with an almost continual series of personal, housing, financial and health challenges since December 2020. That’s why my plans for Now Gallery and my Donation Painting website have not yet been fully launched.

And my quarantine magpie series – as well as all other creative endeavors – came to a halt. Even when I knewpainting would make me feel better, I had no time, no energy, and no inspiration.

In April, frustrated with my predicament, I was casting about for motivation. I decided to honor a high school friend, Andy Laffey (now deceased), who offered me wise words and caring during another difficult time many years ago, and to capitalize on the Easter themes of rebirth and resurrection.

I came up with the painting depicted.. It pretty much captures my wish that we all move forward from this pandemic bolstered by a renewed sense of the positive potential in ourselves, our families, our communities and our world.

Among my intentions is to use this website to create and support a community of people who love art, make art and/or buy art.

It’s just happening on a different timetable than what I had planned in 2020.
